Refund Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026 · Standard terms v1.0
In plain language
Founding licence: full refund within 30 days of your key arriving — no questions, no forms, no exit interview. After day 30, the founding sale is final; we say that here, at the top, not in a footnote. And whatever happens with a refund, your verdict files stay yours — they are plain YAML in your own git repo.
1. Founding Licence — the 30-day guarantee
For 30 days from delivery of your founding licence key, you may request a full refund of the $999 one-time payment, no questions asked. "Delivery" means the day we send the signed licence key to you; "30 days" is counted from that date.
If you take the refund, the founding licence ends: please delete the licence key and your installed copies of the Software. Your verdict files are unaffected — they live in your repository, in an open format, and remain readable and yours regardless (see the never-hostage promise in the Licence Terms).
2. After 30 days — the sale is final
Once the 30-day window has passed, the founding purchase is final. Because the founding fee is a single one-time payment for a lifetime licence — not a recurring charge — there is nothing to prorate, and pro-rata or partial refunds are not available after day 30. We would rather state this plainly now than let anyone discover it later.
Two things soften that, by design rather than by exception: the licence itself is lifetime, so there are no future charges to stop; and your data is never locked in, so walking away costs you nothing in re-triage. Nothing in this policy limits any refund right that applies to you by law and cannot be excluded.
3. Standard subscriptions
Standard ($349/month) can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the Software remains fully usable until then, and no further charges are made afterwards. We do not refund partial months — a month (or a year, on the yearly licence key) that has begun runs to its end.
After a paid period ends, the never-hostage rule applies: reads, history, ingestion and exports keep working indefinitely, and only the writing of new verdicts pauses, after a 30-day grace period. If you later renew, verdict writing resumes exactly where it left off.
4. How to request a refund
- Email us at the address published on this website, from (or quoting) the email used for the purchase, and include your company name and, if you have it, the payment provider's order or invoice reference.
- Within the founding 30-day window, no reason is required — the word "refund" is enough.
- We confirm and instruct the refund through our payment provider (our Merchant of Record) within 5 business days of your request. The money returns to the original payment method; how quickly it lands after that depends on your bank or card issuer, and is outside our control.
5. Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, contact us before disputing the charge with your bank: within the terms above, we will simply refund you, which is faster for everyone. A chargeback does not change what this policy promises — if we owe you a refund under section 1, you will get it in full either way.
